Our Victorians from the Class of 2024 have completed the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examination, and we are proud to celebrate their outstanding achievements.

Service Leadership
Aufal Aufiya | Victoria School

While in college, Aufal demonstrated a genuine desire towards service to others, beyond his role in the Students’ Council. As a Student Councillor, he led a committee in planning and facilitating the JC Orientation in 2024 and showcased exemplary leadership qualities throughout the year.
Aufal’s care for his peers was recognised by the college with the Victorian Going the Extra Mile (VGEMs) Award, and more admirably, Aufal was also awarded the prestigious Singapore Silent Heroes (Student) Award in 2024 for his volunteering stints with various organisations. This national award highlights his compassionate, selfless, and empathetic nature, serving as a strong testament to his unwavering commitment to supporting those around him.
Wang Zhi Rong Asher | Victoria School

Despite his heavy commitments in the Students’ Council, Asher found time to engage in other pursuits – founding a Student Interest Group (SIG) for Pickleball that represented the College in the 2024 Inter-School Games (Post Secondary) Pickleball Tournament organised by the Singapore Pickleball Association and Pesta Sukan in 2023, and placing First Runners-Up. In addition to that, he also initiated and spearheaded a community service project by playing Pickleball with seniors from Goodlife Studio. For their efforts, Asher and the co-founders of VJC’s Pickleball were awarded the Victoria Pioneer Award in 2024.
It was truly remarkable how Asher pursued his interests beyond academics and stayed energetic and positive throughout.
Audrey Lau Hwee Kia | Cedar Girls' Secondary School

Audrey's service leadership shines through her unwavering commitment to uplifting others and creating positive change. As Head of Welfare in the Students’ Council, Audrey launched “Our Victorian Voices,” a platform that amplified student perspectives and fostered a positive school culture. Beyond the Students’ Council, Audrey also served as Cabinet Chair for the Environment Cabinet in the Singapore Model Cabinet 2024 where she led a rigorous research initiative, developing study guides that empowered delegates to engage in thoughtful discussions. Her dedication extended to mentoring juniors in the Global Affairs Society, where she inspired confidence and imparted valuable expertise.
Audrey’s heart for the community was also evident through the Grassroots and Governance Programme where she helped residents articulate concerns to statutory boards, ensuring community voices were heard. With unwavering integrity, humility, and a passion for social impact, Audrey embodies the essence of a service leader—one who uplifts, empowers, and inspires those around her.

Beatrice Priscilla Yaury | Tanjong Katong Girls’ School

Beatrice is a true force of nature and an incredible leader. Not only was she the Chairperson of the VJC Dance Club, she also broke stereotypes by being one of only three girls taking Computing – an area typically dominated by boys.
During the intense National Day Parade period, Beatrice truly shined. Managing the operations of over 100 participants with such poise and precision, she made sure everything ran smoothly. Her leadership skills were unparalleled - firm yet friendly, authoritative yet caring, Beatrice had a unique ability to balance it all. She inspired every student involved to give their best, and the results spoke for themselves.
Her discipline and time management are beyond impressive. Even with the heavy CCA commitments, especially during the NDP period, she never missed a beat in her lessons. Beatrice is a true inspiration—motivated, disciplined, and always leading by example.
Jarrett Goh Bing Heng | Geylang Methodist Secondary School

Meet Jarrett, the Captain of VJC Taekwondo, a true embodiment of resilience, leadership, and hard work. Despite battling an ACL injury in Year 1, Jarrett didn’t let that stop him from contributing to the team. While sidelined from competition, he took on the role of assistant coach, helping to guide and support his juniors with his expertise as a black belt and certified coach.
Jarrett's leadership extends beyond his duties. His charisma and likability shine through as he leads by example, always putting in the hard work alongside his teammates during intense training sessions. His dedication was a driving force behind the team’s impressive 2nd place finish at the 2024 Taekwondo NSG—a result not seen in over a decade!
Lee Seungwon | Victoria School

Seungwon is a natural leader who brings people together. As the Chief Photographer of the Photography Society, he mentored peers and ensured events were well-documented. He also spearheaded a Student-Initiated Group, the Korean Cultural Society, sharing his heritage with enthusiasm, and helped organise the Victorian Cup to introduce Bridge to more students.
Seungwon’s leadership was also evident in his heart for others. As a Peer Support Leader, he created a strong sense of community in his class, making sure everyone felt valued and supported. His passion for service shone in VCares Week, where he championed mental well-being initiatives and confidently moderated a sharing session. Whether supporting children with critical illnesses or mentoring classmates, Seungwon leads with warmth, humility, and a genuine desire to help others.
Inspire
Sneha Radhey Shyam | Crescent Girls School

Sneha matriculated in VJC as a Science student, but after a year, realised that her interests lay in the Arts and Humanities domains and took the brave step to redo JC1 as an Arts student. Her genuine interest and inclination towards the Arts was unmistakable, seen in her selection as an MOE Humanities Scholarship Programme recipient.
While Sneha took a little longer to find her passion, she truly thrived as an Arts student. Her tutors and peers valued her contributions in class - she was articulate, perceptive and always willing to share her views, yet respectful of differing perspectives. Sneha participated actively in college life, being deeply engaged in her CCA, Art Club, and was also an emcee for VJC’s Teachers’ Day celebration and Guitar Ensemble’s public performance. Sneha’s journey in discovering her passion and her zest for life is indeed inspiring, demonstrating her courage and fervour to pursue her interests with excellence.
Maria Shabbir Rangwala | CHIJ Katong Convent

Maria’s education journey was not a straight path. A perfectionist at heart, she struggled to meet her expectations and decided to leave VJC at the start of JC2 to pursue her studies in a Polytechnic instead. There, she was actively engaged in various activities there but ultimately decided that the A-Level route was more suited for her and thus returned to VJC. Though Maria had difficulties adjusting back to the JC curriculum, she plucked up her courage and demonstrated grit by persisting, and soon found her footing.
Through the camaraderie and support from her classmates and teachers, Maria integrated herself well and once again thrived and immersed herself in school life. Despite having to make constant adjustments to her school environment, Maria’s heart for the community remained evident. She was a regular and committed volunteer with the Ground-Up Initiative (GUI), a non-profit organisation known for environmental sustainability and community-building efforts. Maria’s exceptional maturity, together with her tenacity when things get tough, are truly inspiring for her peers.
Excel
Veniko Borislavov Belinski | Victoria School

A passionate learner and dedicated leader, Veniko Belinski is a standout student who juggled 13 academic units while leading his CCA and serving the community. His exceptional aptitude for Physics earned him a silver award in the Singapore Physics League, a bronze in the Singapore Physics Olympiad, and the James Dyson Foundation Design Engineering Award at the Singapore Science & Engineering Fair 2024. Additionally, Veniko was a recipient of the A*STAR JC Science Award and the MOE Engineering and Tech Programme Scholarship.
Veniko’s passion for the sciences extended to astronomy. As Research Head of the Astronomy Club, he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with peers and led fellow team members in Astrochallenge 2023 and 2024. He too earned a silver medal at the Singapore Astronomy Olympiad 2024.
Beyond academics, Veniko’s passion for music thrived in the String Ensemble, where he led as Vice Chairperson and Section Leader. From performances at the Esplanade to the SYF Arts Presentation 2023, he certainly played his heart out!
Charlene Ng Ying Xuan | Anglican High School

From academics to leadership, Charlene is a true all-rounder who shines in everything she does. In class, her curiosity and insightful questions sparked engaging discussions, benefitting not just herself but also her peers. Her thirst for knowledge led her to participate in the Singapore Biology Olympiad, where her dedication and independent research earned her a Merit Award.
Beyond the classroom, Charlene made waves in the College Interact Club, serving as a Home Group Leader, facilitating communication, organising events, and honing her leadership skills. She also thrived in ODAC, where she spearheaded pioneering activities and played a key role in planning an overseas expedition.
Charlene’s commitment to service extended to being an Active Citizenry Representative, where she led a class-based community project with Dementia Singapore. As a recipient of the MOE Pre-University Scholarship and VJC Scholarship, Charlene’s resilience, adaptability, and passion for excellence make her an inspiration to all!
Zavdiel Teng | Victoria School

Zavdiel’s passion for the Arts was evident in both his academic and co-curricular pursuits. A dedicated Humanities student, he took up H3 Literature and participated in the NTU Social Science Challenge, a reflection of his ability to apply critical thinking to real-world issues. As a member of the Writers’ Circle and Creative Writing & Press Club, he contributed to Glossolalia, bringing creative works to life through dramatic performances. He also played a key role in the College’s Humanities Symposium, inspiring students to explore the Arts.
Beyond academics, Zavdiel balanced his leadership responsibilities as a Students’ Councillor with numerous commitments. As House Captain, he fostered school spirit, and as Head of Planning for VJC’s Open House, led a large-scale event with strategic vision. Zavdiel also remained committed to Boys' Brigade and continued to mentor his juniors.
Sahoo Garv | Victoria School

A standout in Singapore’s youth football scene, Garv has demonstrated exceptional skills and resilience both on and off the pitch. As a midfielder for the Young Lions while preparing for the A-Levels, he has mastered the art of juggling academics and excelling in high-performance sports.
Garv scored the winning goal in the National School Games (NSG) A Division Boys' Football Finals, securing VJC’s victory over SJI and retaining their title. On the international stage, he shone at the ASEAN Under-19 Boys Championship in 2024, netting all three goals for Singapore. His commitment to the sport continues to propel him forward, with opportunities to compete overseas on the horizon.
Despite the demands of elite football, Sahoo remains dedicated to his studies. His ability to balance both academics and sports is a reflection of his discipline and drive.
Conrad Kangli Emery | Victoria School

Balancing elite athletics with academics is no easy feat, but Conrad has done it with remarkable poise. In 2024, he shattered the National School Games (NSG) A Division Boys’ Long Jump record with a 7.36m leap, cementing his status as one of Singapore’s top young jumpers. Beyond long jump, he has excelled in track and field, finishing 4th in the A Division 100m and claiming silver in the Triple Jump at NSG 2023. His dedication extends beyond local competitions, as he continued to compete internationally, even before his A Levels.
Conrad has worked hard to improve academically. Through perseverance and discipline, he has managed to balance intense training with his studies, proving that resilience and determination can overcome any challenge.
A multi-talented athlete, Conrad inspires with his commitment to excellence in both sports and academics. His journey is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication.
